New assessment scheme for the impact of non-resident species

Invasive alien animal and plant species are a threat to biodiversity on our planet and can also limit the health and well-being of humans. An international team of researchers led by Franz Essl from the University of Vienna and Wolfgang Rabitsch from the Umweltbundesamt have now developed a new assessment scheme that can be used to classify the economic and health effects.
