In the Main Building, the Faculty of Chemistry, the Observatory and the University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB), researchers will be demonstrating the fascinating interplay between science and knowledge with hands-on activities and demonstrations.
For the first time, the UBB is one of the hosts of the #LNF in collaboration with the Vienna BioCenter with exciting insights into the entire faculty and the CeMESS – with a total of 25 Stations at the campus. Experiments and guided tours invite everyone to experience research themselves. Visitors will also get insights into the daily life of biologists in the theatre performance "Micro*Scope".
The faculty is present with the following stations:

- What can animal behaviour teach us?
- Nutrition and health in the later stages of life
- What can we learn about evolution from simple animals?
- On the trail of climate change!

The Lange Nacht der Forschung is Austria's largest event dedicated to science, research and innovation and is aimed at all age groups. A varied programme will be offered at around 270 locations and with over 2,800 programme highlights across Austria with free admission to immerse yourself in the world of science and experience innovation up close.
